How do I find the best driving school for me?

Step 1:

Use the Texas Department of Licensing school search to find driving schools in your area. You will also find the school contact information on the list.

Step 2:

Call the school and ensure they have availability for you to take lessons. Some schools have a 4-6 week wait time and depending on your timeline you will want to ensure you partner with a school that will meet your needs.

Step 3:

Once you find the school, make sure to have the name of the school handy. When you get to Level 12 of the course you will be asked this information. It is important this information is correct as it will be added to your certificate of completion and you will turn into the driving school.

Step 4:

Complete the online course with Aceable. Once complete, you can apply for your permit find those steps here. Once you have your permit work with your driving school to complete your behind the wheel lessons, and a qualified adult to complete the 30 hours of practice.
