When you have your permit, you are only allowed to drive if there is a licensed adult 21 years old or older with you in the car. There are no restrictions on what hours you may drive during the day or night, but you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the late hours of the night.
REMEMBER: If you are under 16, you cannot drive with someone other than your parent or guardian if you do not have the In Loco Parentis Affidavit signed. This allows a permit holder in this age range to drive with another specified licensed adult who is at least 21 years old or older. This Affidavit needs to be notarized and the permit holder- you- needs to have it at all times when driving with the adult listed on it. If you have a permit and are at least 16 years old or older, you’re only allowed to drive if you have a licensed adult who is at least 21 years old or older with you in the passenger seat.
