The state of Texas requires you to take a six-hour adult driver's ed course if you’re 18-24 years old and have never held a driver's license. You can access your course from your desktop, laptop, phone, and tablet, and you can log on and off whenever you want. While there are timers in the course, they’re set at a pace much faster than the speed that most people read. You won’t even notice them! The course also never expires, so you don’t have to worry about any deadlines – Aceable works around your schedule. At the very end of the six-hour course, Aceable will provide you with the Written Knowledge Test. This means that you don’t have to worry about taking any kind of written exam at the DPS. Instead, you’ll just need to ace your vision and driving exams.
Tips for getting through the course as fast as possible:
- Make sure you have a strong Internet connection.
- Move on to the next page as soon as the page timer is up. Sometimes, the page timer is faster than the voice reading the page out loud. The longer you spend on a page after the timer is up without moving to the next one, the longer you are technically spending in the course.
- Answer video questions correctly! If you answer a video question incorrectly, the state requires that you rewatch the video and answer a new question. The more this happens, the more time you end up spending in the course.
