What do I need to bring to PennDOT to get my junior license?

You’ll need to bring these items to PennDOT to get your junior license:
  • Your learner’s permit
  • Parent or Guardian Certification Form (Form DL-180C)
  • The valid registration card for the vehicle you will use for the driving test
  • Proof of insurance for the vehicle you will use for the driving test
  • The valid driver’s license of the person going with you to the Driver License Center
All items must be originals - no copies are accepted! The Parent or Guardian Certification Form can be completed by your parent, guardian, person in loco parentis (who is 21 years of age or older) or spouse (who is 18 years of age or older). This shows to the Driver License Center that you really have completed all 65 hours of behind-the-wheel training. Whoever signs the form also needs to show proper ID when they come with to the Driver License Center. If they cannot come with you to the Driver License Center, then you can have that person sign the form in front of a notary.
