The state of Pennsylvania requires you to take a 30-hour drivers ed course if you plan to get your senior license before turning 18. This course is not required for you to obtain your learner’s permit or your junior license.
The state of Pennsylvania requires that the course takes a minimum of 15 days to finish. In order to help you pace yourself, you are limited to working on the course for 1 hour and 15 minutes maximum per day.
You can access your course from your desktop, laptop, phone, and tablet, and you can log on and off whenever you want. While there are timers in the course, they’re set at a pace much faster than the speed that most people read. You won’t even notice them!
The course also never expires, so you don’t have to worry about any deadlines – Aceable works around your schedule.
Throughout the course, there are 19 level assessments that are 10 questions each. You just need to score at least 70% to pass! You can retake them over and over again until you pass. At the very end of the course, you will take the final exam which you need to pass with at least 70%. You can retake it over and over again until you pass. 48 hours after passing, Aceable will email you your Certificate of Completion on behalf of Blue Bell Driving.
Tips for getting through the course as fast as possible:
- Make sure you have a strong Internet connection.
- Move on to the next page as soon as the page timer is up. Sometimes, the page timer is faster than the voice reading the page out loud. The longer you spend on a page after the timer is up without moving to the next one, the longer you are technically spending in the course.
- Answer video questions correctly! If you answer a video question incorrectly, the state requires that you rewatch the video and answer a new question. The more this happens, the more time you end up spending in the course.
