You’ll need to complete 50 hours of behind-the-wheel practice with a licensed driver who is 21 or older and has been licensed for at least one year. You can also meet this requirement by doing your 50 hours at a driving school too! The Nevada DMV has an awesome Parents Supervised Driving Guide that will guide you through what you need to learn in the car.
Here's some important things to remember:
- 10 of your hours must be done at night - this includes any time after sunset and before sunrise.
- You’ll need to keep a written log of the dates and times that you drive and submit it to the DMV when you’re going in for your driving test.
- If you like to keep things electronic, the Nevada DMV also recommends using the RoadReady app for iOS or Android to log your driving hours. Once you’ve reached your 50 hours, print out your log from the app!
