What happens if I fail the Written Knowledge Exam?
You have three tries to pass online. If you fail but have not run out of tries, you will need to purchase the exam again if you want to retake. Retakes cost $25 each. You will be able to repurchase immediately and take the exam again.
If you have failed three times, unfortunately, the state of Florida does not allow you to take the test online anymore. You have to go take the knowledge exam in person at your local DMV office.
IMPORTANT: All students are susceptible to random Knowledge Exam re-testing at the DMV, even if they've taken and passed it online.
