What should I expect during my driving test?

Your driver license examiner will inspect the vehicle for these things:
  • Valid registration card
  • Current insurance
  • Valid state inspection sticker
  • Valid emissions sticker (if required)
They are going to check if your vehicle is in good working conditions and meet safety standards (lights, horn, brakes, windshield wipers, turn signals, mirrors, doors, seats, and tires). If it does not meet state inspection requirements, you won’t be able to take your driving test. To see what they may test you on or fail you on, check out page 6 of the Pennsylvania Driver Manual.
